Gulabo came over to our Goa house and we arranged some pre-recorded beats and tunes of Garage Band in the software on my iMac. And we liked the way it sounded. Then we wanted a main melody to go with that. I picked up one from my impromptu ‘dheere dheere’ performance on synth in Delhi from two moths ago (uploaded on FB). And then Gulabo and I worked upon the lyrics (retaining just the ‘dheere dheere’ line from the original poem, and changing the song from a description of evening to one about two lovers about to meet as the evening settles in). We stuck to my original melody and then we arranged pieces together. That’s what this audio clip is about. Some fun.

Gulabo is a girl who biwi and I first met two years ago during our mountaineering course. Yes, she was a course-mate. After the course got over, she went to Oxford univ to pursue higher studies (she is yet to complete her studies there). She is in Goa for a while, for an internship after which she will return to UK.

Lyric by Neelabh

Can anyone sing it for me the way I have composed music for this song (originally a poem)? Anyone? Lines with the same colour have the same tune – this is so that you can follow the music when you hum the song to yourself. Sing it.

Couple of HAVE to’s

I HAVE to submit the first draft tomorrow morning by 10. Yes, I am talking about my thesis.

I HAVE to begin rehearsing from Friday. Yes, I am talking about my first professional play.

I HAVE to go back to work. No, wait. Let me go eat first. Why don’t you listen to this by the way (thou feed-readers, thou do not mind, but if thou mindeth, then for the 10 second audio clip, thou shall have to check the actual post. sigh)?

So yeah, the line of the moment is this:[audio:bus-aaj-ki-raat.mp3]

Phind me a house, will ya?

The following song is dedicated to today.

Went and saw a 750 sq ft, two bed room house in Nungambakkam, about 2 Kilometers from office. It will cost me 12k if I take it and from inside it looked good. There is just one problem. It’s unfurnished. 🙂

Written enough play reviews. Time to do real plays after long. I would be acting in two different productions in the coming weeks. It’s kinda early to update on either one of them but I will make sure that you guys get to know the info, few days before I perform. One will be played in Chennai and one in Bangalore.

Also, Amith who has still not finished making Karma, has hinted on making me work for another short film of his, which being an action film, needs me to show some nice body-shody. So well, I have started working out these days. Running has been happening as usual with all new Reebok shoes. Yes, I’m on a sutta break by default.

So you see, loads of acting happening these days. 🙂 Well anyway, if anyone of you can help me, the would-be actor, and the already-been consultant, find a 600sq ft or bigger, two bed room flat, as close to Kader Nawaz Khan Road (Nungambakkam) as possible, within a budget of 12k, please do so. I start working from July in an office in Kader Nawaz Khan Road and hence HAVE to shift to a house soon.
