Yesterday night I came up with…

…yet another crazy idea: Take a two weeks leave and go traveling directionless in India. The plan was to first take a (paid) flight to Kerala and from there, start moving up north by traveling unreserved in trains, in buses, getting down wherever I feel like. The plan was to backpack for two full weeks, all on my own, without any contact with those who I know or those who know me.

Today morning Mummy called up. She wanted me to come home as soon as I could, during Durga Pooja. I could not gather myself to say what I wanted to do. Durga Pooja shall start soon. That’s when I can manage to take leave. Can I have the heart to tell mom that instead of coming back to her I want to go backpacking in general compartments, not knowing where I really wanna go? I don’t want her to miss me more than she needs to. Hmm…
